Etel

Étel est un ancien port thonier situé à l’entrée de la “Ria”, bras de mer qui se prolonge dans les terres. On peut d’ailleurs visiter le Musée des Thoniers, mémoire d’un port jadis prospère.

Etel est connue par sa célèbre et redoutée “barre” qui peut en interdire l’accès. Tout au long de la Ria, de magnifiques paysages et leurs parcs à huitres se découvrent le long de votre croisière. Sa vallée profonde est envahie par la mer à marée montante. Elle constitue une petite baie parsemée d’îlots.

Le nom Breton de la commune est An Intel ou Stêr an Intel pour le nom de la Ria.
